For slow draining/plugged bathroom sinks then most of the problems are either in the trap, push/pull or within 10' of your sink drain line in most homes. For a home owner, I recommend buying a 1/4 inch snake and taking out your push/pull or drain stop and then snaking out from the sink drain and if you unplug the sink drain make sure you run water down your drain as you snake out the sink drain and that will make your snake clear the pipes better. If you can't get your push/pull out, then get a bucket and take off the trap then you can snake out your drain and or clean out your trap. When you put the trap back together its a good idea to use pipe seal/dope around your compression nuts or in some cases buy a new trap.
I use any of the following with great results1- Electric snake with a 1/4" -3/8" wire depending on piping diameter=2- General RAM Jet knetic pressure==3- Jetter 1/8 -1/4 hose=
Try a toilet plunger.

If the sink/sink drain fitting connection, sink drain fitting/disposal connection, dishwasher/disposal connection, disposal/drain elbow connection are what are leaking they can either be tightened or have gaskets replaced or other sealing methods used. If the disposal is leaking elsewhere the disposal needs replacement.
The sink drain is blocked somewhere after the disposal. take apart and clean or renew sink drain.
As long as the drain basket for the disposal will fit the drain hole in the sink, there shouldn't be a problem
The disposal is clogged or that side of the sink is.
Product you should use when trying to unclog your bathroom sink are products like drain-o. Drain-o works the best in my opioin. When you buy off brands they do not work as well.
No, you do not need a special garbage disposal for a porcelain sink. However, generally speaking, installing a garbage disposal under porcelain can definitely damage the porcelain texture.
There are several websites that can help you unclog your sink. See the related links to get you started.
