The best way to unfreeze a trunk lid and a fuel door release cable is to use a product designed to unfreeze the locks on an automobile. Most automotive repair stores will have this product. A good way to keep a trunk lid from freezing is to rub vegetable oil on the rubber gasket seal before cold weather arrives.
Look in the trunk- there ought to be an emergency release- you might have to pull the trunk's liner back a bit to access this cable with a tab attached to it.
You can pull on the cable for the fuel door. The cable is located in the trunk behind the side panel.
Not sure what you are asking here. If you want to know how to get the fuel "door" open,it is the small handle adjacent to the trunk lever near the door sil.If you are asking where the cable is for the fuel door,it has to be behind the trim in the trunk where the fuel filler is located.
If the button is lost there is a manual cable release in the trunk located on the drivers side.
Place fingernails under outer edge of fuel door. Lift and push door towards the middle of the vehicle. This has always worked for me since the fuel door release stopped working correctly. You can acces the fuel door release cable from the inside of the trunk. Just remove the circular plastic cover inside the trunk nearest to the fuel door, pull the cable until the door releases. To fix this problem permanently you will need to tighten this cable.
There is a button on the dashboard directly under the trunk release. The bottom left button on your remote entry key fob also opens it, and if none of these work, there is a release cable inside your trunk, on the left side {right behind the fuel door}
The fuel door should just flip towards the front of the car,but in case you have one that locks there should be a cable inside the trunk that will release the fuel door.
Ok, I could not find the cable but I jammed the cig lighter under the level and it popped right open. www.kuehncom.com and see if this helps
The trunk release on my car is operated via a cable that runs from the lever next to the driver seat to the latch on the door. If your car has a similar setup, you could disable it by cutting the cable, but this would be a permanent solution. If your trunk release operates electrically, or if you want to be able to re-enable it at a later time, you should consult with a mechanic.
SHOULD BE A THIN CABLE ON THE SAME SIDE AS THE FILLER DOOR IS,IF ITS MISSING ALL YOU HAVE TO DO GET TO THE INSIDE OF THE FENDER WELL AND LOCATE THE RELEASE LEVER. GOOD LUCK PAUL G
There is a lever to the left of the driver's seat by the door and on the floor. Pull to release the trunk, push to release the gas cover door.
On my '95 Bonneville the trunk release button is on the driver's door below the door handle. Hope this helps.
