there are no factory seat heaters on the R1200C. On the dresser R1200CL and CLC, there is, and that is controlled by a rocker switch on the handlebar. The passenger seat heater should have a rocker either on the side of the seat or under the right edge of the seat. off, low, and high. If it is a R1200C, Corbin made a heated seat for this and there is a simple on off switch.
The original comes with a backrest(97/98) very comfortable and the back rest can be moved to the rear to support the passenger seat. Practical

There is no way to unlock the seat belts after the airbags go off. You will need to get the seat belts and the tenisioner replaced.

Push the red button on the seat belt buckle.

Insert key into the helmet lock then unlock it. Once it is unlock then you can pull the lever down. The lever is right behind the hook you put your helmet D-ring into. This will disengage the seat. Then pull the seat up and back to remove seat
Pull the vinyl cover off of the seat belt, then roll the seat belt back on the roller.
There is a little lever on the bottom of the seat. Pull that out and close the seat so that the backrest is touching the bottom of the seat. Then pull out the handle on the side of the back of the seat. The seat will then unlock from the hinges.
