Heres one way to unseize an engine, I know it works on single cyl engines but should work on any type. First you take an old spark plug and break all the porceline off and out of the plug, then cut off the ground tab which is above where the electrode was. Now you will have just the threads with a hole all the way through it. Take a grease zert / grease nipple and weld it to the top of the plug. First soalk each cylinder in penetrating oil over night, then thread the modified plug it in to the engine, put a grease gun on the nipple and pump grease into the cylinder. Make sure you do a good weld job so the grease doesnt escape from the cylinder. Make sure you use this on a cylinder which is mid stroke, not TDC or BDC. The pressure provided by the grease gun should be enough to pop the piston loose and it applies even pressure to the top of the piston as well which reduces the chance of breaking a ring, at least on the one cylinder you are using it on. Good luck, C.O. Michetti.
If a rod bearing actually spun and seized up you are looking at a total engine rebuild.
If it is siezed, you must disassemble. That's the only way to avoid additional damage
rebuild it or replace it. there are no tricks to unseize a turbo
if you mean you ran out of oil and your engine seized, then no... you'll need to buy a new engine block. It will be expensive and it will cost a lot in labor too.
Try tapping the drum
If the engine has seized, then it's pretty much done for. Transmission fluid, or engine oil, will do nothing to solve that. Transmission fluid goes in the transmission - which if that is seized, again - you're in trouble. The only way to get around replacement is to disassemble the seized component (engine, tranny, whatever) and replace the seized components and anything else that was damaged as a result of the seizing. sorry.
I wouldn't bother. If it's seized from sitting, the rings are probably shot. If it seized from overheating, the rings and cylinder walls are most likely shot. If you do want to attempt, I have heard OLD break fluid works wonders.
A lot of guys use automatic transmission fluid and sock the motor overnight. Turn by hand. If no movement redo and let sit overnight again and try to turn by hand. Somtimes the apex seals seize up in the housings.
Here's something you can try. Might or might not work. Take out the spark plug and put in some "Marvel Mystery Oil". Let it sit for a day or so, then try to work the engine back and forth to break it loose. I did it with a car and it worked after about three days.
The simple answer is: Yes. It can free up the engine and I'm sure it wont cause any harm. I've used this method several times in the past and recommend trying WD-40 first. But really any penetrating oil will work just fine. Heck, I've even been successful with used motor oil! But I do not recommend using that because there are fine particulate in it that may cause damage.
If a product like wd40 does not work easily Get a new gas valve, Why risk loosing your house over a 100-200 dollar part. If the gas on your car was stuck well you get it.
Well, you can get a new one. Or you can go underneath and soak it in WD40, go in the vehicle and try to move it, then soak it again and let it sit for awhile. Repeat and if it doesn't come loose, It may be rusted together, take it in and get it replaced.
