How do you upgrade to Nookingtons in Animal Crossing for GameCube?

You need to connect withsomebody else who has Animal Crossing: Wild World. You then need them to buy something (which I found to be something expensive, but may not be the case for you) from the shop. The next day the bulletin board outside the Town Hall will say that the shop is getting remodeled. The next day it will be done.
***NOTE: YOU CAN ONLY GET NOOKINGTON'S IF YOU DO NOT HAVE NOOK'S CRANNY***

∙ 14y agoYou have to have a wireless friend come to your town and buy something from your current nooks. And you also have to have spent 240,000 in the shop and it will upgrade! x

∙ 12y agoThere's no nook kingdom the highest upgrade is nookington's you proboly thought there was a nook kingdom because you must of heard the name wrong, Nookingtons = nookindoms =nook kingdom.There is two ways because of the difference from titles
240,000 bells + Friend Visit and buy something in wild world and origanal (ds) and (gamecube)
150,000 bells (no friend visit required) City folk/lets go to the city (Wii)
in the wii title nook can down grade his shop heres the guide
This is how it works, whatever the player chose, that is what it will be downgraded to:
- Good Hours- Nook 'n' Go
- Balance- Nookway
- Variety- Nookingtons
- Nothing Much/Sorry, No- no change. (sometimes Nook's Cranny)
by the way he asks at every 30th/31st day (depends on month)

∙ 13y agoAlso, I have already had someone in my town and they spent 3000 bells, I have also gotten my house to an 8x8 and I'm just about to get the basement upgrade so that about 500k bells at least and advice would be greatly appreciated thank you!
