very easy - use help in photo shop for a very clear step by step method - find by using index then B then bevel and emboss Solution Don't worry. Don't need to read help for using Bevel and Emboss in Photo shop. Just open your psd file and select that layer or object that you want bevel and emboss.

Now go to menus: Layer --> Layer Style --> Bevel and Emboss. then you will see a properties window of of Bevel and Emboss option. Set its properties as per your requirement then click OK. Now you will see your object would be embossed. Done It. Optional But Useful (More info and uses of Layer Style window in Photo Shop)

Also you can use contour & Texture options with Bevel and Emboss. And in that window (in left side of the window) you will see more other options like: Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow, Outer Glow, Inner Glow etc. You can use everyone on your object, For using any one of them checked the box of that option and select that one then you will see that the properties of the window would be changed according to that option which you have selected. and also your object would be effected. So you can use them for making your object more effected and beautiful.

Hope this help, Cheers Saqib

Why use the photoshop?

IF you are talking about Adobe Photoshop - then you use it to digitally edit your photos. There are a variety of different effects which I think are endless. It is fairly easy to use and I like the format over what other programs have to offer. Effects include: colour curves, different render effects, lighting, emboss, shadow, feathering...The effects are almost endless. As well as photo editing, you can just draw photos from scratch. You have full control over your work because you are working with layers. Photoshop works well with its 'friends' (after effects, premiere etc)Hope this answers your question - otherwise check out and adobe forum
