The bumper jack has 3 pieces. The base (square and black) sits on the ground and the jack sits in the base, it won't stand up by itself, it falls over. On the jack head is a grey hook. On the car in each corner (right beside the black bumper pad) is a small 1 inch cut out for the jack hook to hook into, you may have to look under the bumper to see these cut outs. slide the jack and the base under the bumper and lift the jack head into that notch, sometimes they slide up and sometimes you have to "jack" them up into position. The lug wrench handle is designed to fit into the jack and allow you to jack the car. On the jack head there is a lever that says 'down' flip the lever up and move the handle up and down to ratchet the car up, it takes a good ammount of force once the car gets up. Once you are done flip the lever down and ratchet the handle again to lower. When lowering you must push the handle down pretty hard to activate the ratchet function. It's primative but I found it very effective in lifting this heavy car.

Yes, they should swap out. As long as the cab style is the same, then the 1983-1987 Ford ranger doors will fit a 1984 Ranger.
If you can't use a two-wheel dolly, a flatbed. Sling-type will destroy the bumper
Super glue
on the back end use the towing hook at the center to jack up the back and for the front theres a point under the front bumper with two bumps and two holes to jack up the front end, if that's too hard you can always use the jack points on the frame near the tires
On the rear bumper located above the license plate bracket there is a hole that you place your jack extension into. Turn the crank until it lowers the tire where you can remove it. Merry Christmas. Look it up in the owners manual. Use the jack handle inseted into the access hoel above the license plate frame and turn left.
Use A Ford Ranger Repair Manual (1983-1992) And It Will Tell You What To Do And Give You Specific Pictures.
There is a key lock under the tailgate, the key should be supplied by the dealer, and then you just insert your jack handles into the hole and turn and the tire will come down The hole for the key should be located in the rear bumper right around your bumper some vehicles have a key over the hole to prevent theft just use your car key once this cap is removed then simply peek through the hole and you should see a tube which giudes your key; and the key normally is in the jack bag in your truck
R-12 is so very expensive, I suggest you convert this vehicle to use R-134a.
