your western field model 550cd was made by mossberg, there model number is 500B.I would try numrich gun parts corp.for your barrel, and use the mossberg 500B number for parts identification.
Mossberg added the M-5500 model to their line in 1983. However, it was quickly taken off the market and was completely out of production by 1986. Supposedly it was a variant of Mossberg's M-500. The 5500 was designed for sporting and was relatively small (not suitable for combat). Mossberg later came out with a stockless version for self defense and for use in law enforcement called the Cruiser and a military combat model known as the Guardian. It is important to note that Mossberg's 5500 was a 12 gauge, not a 16 gauge shotgun.
Yes, the 600 At is the same model as the 500 series, but with a different designation for sale in New haven stores. So yes, all Mossberg 500 after market or OEM parts will fit it.
Yes. The Mossberg 500 in 410 bore is called 500D (the 500D was actually the designation for the 28 gauge Model 500 that was never built....a Model 500 in .410 caliber is a 500E)A-12GAB-16GAC-20GAD-28GA (never made)E-.410 caliber.Try to use a complete sentence next time.
Do not attempt to use other than a Mossberg bolt made for that rifle.
My catalogue states that the rifle was made by Mossberg (Model 320-321) Mossberg made a variety of single shot and repeating bolt action rifles starting in the 1930. they were low-priced and were intended for extensive use. However it does not state when they stopped making these rifles. About 30 different models were made.
had to be in the 40s. i have one i grew up with and i started shooting it in 1950. i know it was not new when i began to use it.They were made from 1933 to 1935, and cross-reference to a Mossberg model 30.
There is no serial number, the rifle was made before serial numbers were used, Mossberg did not commonly use serial numbers, when they did use them it was like for the model 44's etc. as military trainers.
The road block shotgun you may be referring to is the Mossberg 500 "Road Blocker". It's a tactical use Mossberg released in 2009. Google "Mossberg Road Blocker".
It can be, if you are using a slug
The Mossberg 500 Stock is the stock for the Mossberg 500 shotgun. The stock would allow you to get a better grip on the shotgun and absorb some recoil from firing the shotgun.
The Western Field model 72 lever-action rifle was made by Mossberg and generally resembled the Marlin 336. These two rifles are not the same an no parts interchange EXCEPT for the scope mounts. The same bases that work on the Marlin 336 will work on the Western Field (or Mossberg or Revelation versions).
