Like a regular wrench
The 1984 Corvette had a 350 with a four barrel carb. The fuel filter is in the carb. You need a 5/8 line wrench and a 1 inch open end wrench. Find the gas line coming into the carb and use the 5/8 line wrench to loosen the line while holding the the fitting it screws into with the one inch wrench. Take the line loose and move it over. Use the one inch wrench to loosen the fitting and unscrew it. Your filter should be there. My advise is to throw that away and install a simple inexpensive inline fuel filter. It's a lot easier to change and it will keep the fuel line from being rounded off and causing problems.
A wrench
It is located behind the big fitting that the fuel line goes to and it requires a 5/8 inch wrench for the fuel line and a 1 inch wrench for the fitting.
1985 Chevy fuel filter should be where the fuel line screws into the carb. use a 1 inch wrench and unscrew the nut that holds the line to the carb pull out line should be a small filter ,spring and washer
the fuel filter is located inside a fitting on the carburetor, where the fuel line goes into the carb....hold the fitting with a 1" wrench while you break loose the fuel line with a 5/8 wrench, unscrew the fuel line and then break loose and unscrew the fitting
It is in the inlet to the carburator. It will require a 5/8 inch wrench for the fuel line and a 1 inch wrench for the inlet fitting.
It is in the CARBURETOR where the fuel line hooks to it, Remove fuel line with 5/8 line wrench, Then take 1 inch wrench and remove the fitting in the carb. were the line was screewed into. There is a spring and filter in there, watch how you remove it and put it back the same way you took it out.
It is in the Carburetor where the fuel line goes in. You will need a 5/8 line wrench and a 1 in. wrench to remove it. Watch how you take it out, the new one must go in the same way.
relieve fuel system pressure. use needle nose pliers to squeeze and release the filter bracket from the chasis. depress the plastic quick release tabs and detatch fuel lines from filter. use 1 wrench to steady the filter and another wrench to unscrew the fuel line fitting and remove filter. installation is reverse.
Disconnect the fuel line from the carb with a 5/8" line wrench then unthread the fitting in the carb with a 1" wrench. The fuel filter is inside that fitting. Take note how the filter and spring are assembled into the carb for reassembly.
You need line wrenches or another name for it is flair nut wrench. They are a special in line wrench made to brake loose any kind of line like fuel lines hydrolic lines brake lines ect... It keeps you from stripping them. All you need to do with them is brake it loose then you can use a regular wrench to finish the job. Also use them to tighten the lines.
The filter is on the carburetor ,the fuel line from the fuel pump connects to it. Remove the fuel line , using a wrench on the filter as well to keep it from turning , then remove the filter (steel) from the carburetor .
