"Octane" is the measure of a gasoline's resistance to igniting before you want it to, and all gasolines have an octane rating. A Honda Accord runs on unleaded regular...so how you use "octane" fuel on an Accord is to go to your favorite gas station, push the button for the least expensive gasoline they have, and fill your car with it.
regular... octane 87
The 2001 Honda Accord runs on regular unleaded.
The 2013 Honda Accord recommended fuel is 87 octane regular. Using any higher octane fuel will provide no benefit whatsoever and is a total waste of money.
Regular unleaded 87 octane.
86 or higher
The 2008 Accord V6 is designed to run on Regular 87 octane fuel. Using a higher octane fuel is a total waste of money. You will get no better mileage, no more power, and in fact it may cause hard starting if you use a higher octane fuel. It is a myth that a higher octane fuel is better. Use 87 Octane any major brand and nothing else. As to brands, they are all good. I personally use Shell in my 2004 Accord V6.
87 Octane Regular is the fuel this engine was designed to run on. Using a higher octane fuel is a total waste of money and will provide no more power, mileage, or any other benefit. It is a myth that a higher octane fuel is better. It is not!
where is fuel filter on a 1987 Honda accord
the location of fuel pump on honda accord 2005
Under the hood in the Fuse/Relay center.
I inquired here about the location of the fuel filter on my 2001 Accord Lx. The answer I got was that it was in the fuel tank and that there was no need to replace it. I don't know if that would be the same for your car. Try calling a Honda dealer's service shop.
