First, Go to the casino in Dos Cactos. Challenge the gambler to a game of Slap Jack and win. He will give you a treasure map. Then, go to Rock Ridge and talk to the poptropican surrounded by cows. He/She will tell you a calf is missing. Leave the town and search for hooveprints. Follow the Hooveprints to the calf and take it to the Ranch. ( Left of Rock Ridge.) Tell the poptropican you succeeded and he'll/she'll give you an old saddle. Take the old saddle to the trading post in Dusty Gulch. (Top left on the map) The trader will give you a choice of oil can or gold pan. Choose gold pan. Follow the treasure map to the marked spot and retrieve the gold. P.S. if you help the poptropican in Rock Ridge again he/she will give you the RattleSnake Wrangler outfit.
