1. On a blackberry with OS 5, you have to go into the main menu and then options.
2. After go into security, and scroll down to security wipe. tick what you want to wipe;
3. email, contacts, etc.- you will not be able to access your emails anymore
User installed applications- all of your downloaded apps
Media card- your memory card (if available)
4.Now type blackberry and then wipe.
OS 6
1. (I do not have a blackberry with OS 6 but the information is correct) If you have universal search just type in security wipe and follow step 3-4 above.

Unless they have recently changed it it does not say "enter your blackberry" it says "enter blackberry" and it wants you to type in the word "blackberry". No quotation marks, just the word blackberry. It may ask you to confirm it and you will want to type it in again.
