bosch 15716 and bosch 15718 are the same exact sensor, the difference is the length of the wiring the 15718 has a longer wire. Both sensors would go before the catalytic converter. 15717 goes after.
The black wires are the heater wires, the white wire is the signal wire and the green is the ground wire.
Its black/purple depanding but just one single wire
http://www.boschautoparts.com/NR/rdonlyres/3BB8A8FA-C707-4333-9098-727C01AF4B7D/0/OxygenSensorInstall.pdf This should help out. At the bottom of the PDF is a wiring guide for bosch sensors, Competitors, and OE harnesses. The guide is from bosch, it should work well. You will notice the GEO has a different stock harness than is typical.
Could be a loose wire or the sensor in the tank has fallen off. Trace back your electrical to see if there is a break in the wire and failing that, unless you are mechanically inclined, you should take it in for someone else to check on the sensor.
Saab used heated oxygen sensors on this year car. There is a heated Bosch Universal sensor that will fit; you cut the plug off your old one and wire it to the new sensor. If you mean "how can I replace the sensor on my car with the $15 version that doesn't have a heater on it?"...unless you really like check-engine lights you can't. The car's computer will notice the sensor isn't talking to the heater circuit, assume the sensor's burned out, and start throwing codes all over the place.
There's no universal color code for oxygen sensor wiring. Buy the right sensor, period. If you're buying a generic sensor for your car (possible, but there are still many different kinds) and need to splice the wires from the new sensor to the car, usually the black wire is the ground and the other wire is "hot." With three-wire sensors, try to find a wiring diagram online to match up the colors. It's risky using a voltmeter or test light to find the hot wire(s), because you could fry your computer.
it is located in the air intake hose between the air filter box and the plenum,it has to be pried out of the hose a bit after removing the wire plug.
Three wire sensor on the throttle body.Three wire sensor on the throttle body.
The 1990 Chevrolet Corvette IAT sensor does have two wires. The sensor has a ground wire and a positive wire.
I need wire harness color codes for a 1985 250 suzuki quardrunner.
The speed sensor wire is connected to the speed sensor and goes to the speed sensor relay switch. The speed sensor relay switch is connected to the computer by a separate wire.
