The black wires are the heater wires, the white wire is the signal wire and the green is the ground wire.
oxygen sensor
I think its the purple wire coming from the Oxygen sensor!
The oxygen sensor is connected by a wiring harness. The wiring harness contains the signal wire. The signal wire goes to the system computer.
It is possible as the signal from the oxygen sensor is sent to the computer
you can breath
oxygen sensor ( in the exhaust , the sensors closest to the engine are used to " sense " the amount of oxygen in the exhaust to send a signal to the PCM so the air / fuel mixture for the engine is adjusted under various conditions )
According to my Chilton repair manual : " the oxygen sensor is used with the feedback system to sense the presence of oxygen in the exhaust gas and signal the computer which can reference the voltage signal to an air / fuel ratio " ( that applies to bank 1 - passenger side , and bank 2 - drivers side , sensor 1 ) banks 1 + 2 , sensor 2 is downstream of the catalytic converters and are called catalyst monitors
A code 51 on a 1994 Plymouth Voyager typically indicates an issue with the engine's oxygen sensor. This sensor measures the amount of oxygen in the exhaust gases to help the engine control unit adjust the air-fuel mixture for optimal performance. It is recommended to have the oxygen sensor and related components checked and potentially replaced by a qualified mechanic.
The oxygen sensor measures the amount of or lack of oxygen in the burnt exhaust exiting the engine in the exhaust pipe. It will then send a voltage signal to the vehicle computer. The computer uses that signal to control the fuel metering coming into the engine to try and keep the air/fuel ratio at 14.7 parts air to 1 part fuel. This is for emissions and economy reasons.

The oxygen sensor sends s signal to the computer when the engine is running to rich or lean. If you have it scanned for codes then it will tell you what is happening. The oxygen sensor does not have to be bad to set a code. It could be as simple as a vacuum leak. It is best to see a technician and have him diagnosis it than to replace parts that are good.
