To write a letter for a request of visitation, you need to put down your name and your relationship to the child. You also need to put down the amount of time that you are wishing to visit.
To visit you must be on the inmate's approved visitation list. Visiting hours vary by date, time and facility. You can call the warden at (251) 368-8173.
Use a standard business letter format, for example: Return Address of Sender Date Name of person addressed, Warden Name of Facility Address of Facility City, State, Zip (or equivalent depending on country) Dear Warden (Name), First paragraph: one sentence or two, stating why you are writing: I am writing to request visitation privileges for prisoner (name). Second paragraph: give the facts and information supporting your request: State the reasons that the prisoner (or you) deserve or should be permitted visitation. (Be brief and factual; don't use emotional language or go off the target of your request.) Third paragraph: tell the addressee what you want them to do or what you want to happen (this is called the 'call to action paragraph'). State any dates that may be important. Give the information for the warden to contact you (if you are not the prisoner, your phone number, mailing address, email address) at the end to be sure it's easy for the warden to find it. Always end a business letter by thanking the recipient for their time and effort. Sincerely, Signature Print or Type Your Name

WikiAnswers cannot write your papers for you - that would be cheating and plagiarism. You will need to read the book and decide for yourself what the warden would say. Just imagine what you would say if you were that warden, and pretend you're talking to one of your friends.
Warden, windowcleaner, writer.
A good Crossing Warden (Lollipop man/woman in my day) will carry a piece of chalk. The black stripe is to write the number plate of any vehicles the warden wishes to report for inappropriate conduct
It is good to follow procedures when dealing with a bureaucracy, therefore, I suggest that you first write to the warden and ask for the identification number of this prisoner, then you can write to him or her in the normal manner. You might also explain why you wish to write to that prisoner (e.g., I am his/her mother) so that the warden will consider your request to be legitimate.

See link below for sample visitation schedules. In lieu of legal representation, the best option is to contact the office of the court clerk in the county or city of the child's residency, to obtain forms and instructions on the filing for visitation of a minor child by a non-custodial parent or grandparent(s).
