Before you write an application to a school without a high school certificate or transcript, you should try to get the document reoplaced. Here are some ways to possibly get a replacement:

In the United States:

If your high school is still open, contact them and they can replace your certificate (transcript).

If the school closed permanently, you can do the following:

According to the U.S. Department of Education, when a school closes "the generally accepted practice is for the school to make arrangements with the state-licensing agency to store their records."
