A man named Rip VanWinkle was out hiking in the woods, when he got tired, and sat down next to a tree. He leaned back against the tree and fell asleep.
He slept for 20 years, and when he woke up, his cell phone would no longer work, because the battery was dead.
He slept through summer. He slept through winter. He even slept through the great earthquake of August, 2011. He really slept a lot!
Got it? He was one Sleepy Dude, but if he worked for a mattress company,
they would fire him if he slept all day, and didn't sell any mattresses, even if the discount was 50%.
