OK, this has got to be the most hilarious question I have ever answered! But of course, I begged and got the dog! xD Now, to the answering! Well, first you've got to be EXTRA responsible; do your chores without being told to; don't argue; if your parents/guardian tells you to do something, do it quickly and well. Next you talk to them, but don't say something like, "PLEASE GIVE ME A DOG! I'LL DO WHATEVER YOU TELL ME TO IF YOU DO!" because of course, you never remember or do it, and adults know that. xD You want to say something such as, "Hey mom, I've been wanted a dog lately and I was wondering if you would think about it. I know we have >first dog's name< but I want a new dog that I can do new and different things with. If I need to be responsible enough to get one, please tell me all the things I can do to prove it." You don't want to pull up the conversation EVERY day though, because then your parents get annoyed and never give you the dog. You want to bring it up about two times per week at the most and make sure you discuss it calmly. =) That might get you the dog, it might not. But good luck!
