You can't really train them to get along, but to put them near enough to have a good look at each other but not "invade" each other personal space, usually around 2-3 feet or a meter if your Australian, is enough.
Another way is to spend equal time with them, as they can feel jealously just like us, also spend time together with them.
Just give them time, they'll come around.
Get a cat and dog trainer and train them to be well behaved
They train dogs because so dogs dont : jump bit run (into the road ) They also train dogs so they can get along with other dogs and so when you have a puppy and a adult dog they will get along .Also in my experience with dogs you can train dogs to get along with cats .My dog Emit and cat Cico got along wonderfully . My cat Cico layed by Emit .My cat hasn't got along with an other dog .Emit died about a year ago .We got an dog named Dash .Dash loves every bode but Cico doesn't love him as much as he did to Emit.Dash jumps on Cico he also gets clawed alot . I'm letting you this so you can get a dog trainer or just train your dog your self
by training the dog to like the cat :)
Not every dog gets along with a cat. But some do. You should get the cat first if you want a cat and a dog. The dog should be a puppy when you get it.
well, first of all, it depends on the breed of cat and the breed of dog. a terrier wouldn't get along with any cat. If your dogs is friendly and NOT aggressive, it is possible.let your cat get used to the dog, it is better if the dog is a puppy. DO NOT force your cat to the dog. And ALWAYS watch for when your dog and cat come near each other. ALWAYS be ready to stop a fight because either your cat or dog could get injured and they would never become friends. You might want to ask your cats vetrenarian for more info since he/she knows your cat.
well maybe the dog in your cat did not ge along in never leave your cat out side when u know the dog dnt like your cat
Ferrets can be trained, but not like a dog or cat.
If you have a pet cat and dog and they get used to each other. Then after a while they will get along. Worked with ours.
Its ok but not healthy for it and it isn't reccomended to let it happen or train the dog after that.
If you are getting a labrador while it is still a puppy, then yes the dog will usually get along with the cat since they will have grown up together. and it also depends if the cat is used to dogs, if not the cat may run from the dog or attack when the dog is near it and they will not get along. My labrador gets along fine with cats, it the cats that don't particularly like my labrador.
if you want to train a cat, you would do the same thing that you would do to train a dog, but you would need more patience, time, and persistence. dont give your cat the treat unless they did the right thing. if you give your cat the treat when it did the wrong behavior, then you are reinforcing that behavior that you didnt want them to do. so if you want to train a cat, you have to be patient.A cat (unlike a dog) is notorious for being impossible to train. Some cats may appear to be trainable (to a basic limit), but not if they don't want to do something! My wife once shouted at our cat, and for the rest of the day, the cat would turn her back on my wife!
If you wanna have a cat and you would like a dog and you know they wont get along you might wanna get them both at the same time. and you should get them at about the age of 3 moths because that is when there the most social. and get a cat that is nice and a nice dog for the dog i recommend a bisonfrise. they are very good with other animals i amnot sure about the cat though you should look it up.
