Follow these Steps. (see if it works for yours)
# Turn ingnition switch to on position fro about 5 secs #* while off # Turn ingnition switch to off position # Press brake pedal 5 times leaving the last press hold for about 2 secs # Turn ignition switch on # Check that Oil Change Light is OFF Hope this will help you

There are pages and pages of things that can cause a check engine light. You need to have it checked with a scantool. Then the code can be diagnosed and repaired.

The check engine light has nothing to do with an oil change. The check engine light is reset with a scan tool after repairing the failure that caused it.
