There is an Affirmation or Ordination Ceremony by a ordained monk. It's a form of personal religious confirmation in which the person publicly states his/her commitment to the Pure Land path and recognition of the working of Great Compassion in their lives. During the ceremony believers receive a Buddhist name and Affirmation Certificate. The Believer speaks during the ceremony about their understanding of the 5 precepts of Buddha and compassion and pain in the world. Another answer The answer above refers to the Pure Land path, which is one of several alternative Buddhist paths. For many Buddhists the practice which demonstrates and refreshes devotion to Buddhism is the taking and repetition of the Refuge Vows, in which one promises to take ultimate refuge only in Buddha (the enlightened mind and enlightened beings), Dharma (correct instructions leading to enlightenment) and Sangha (the mutually beneficial community of other spiritual practitioners). These vows are not within any particular Buddhist path, and also recognize the potential of apparently non-Buddhist teachings and persons to actually provide the results of Buddhism.
A Buddhist shows complete commitment to his or her beliefs through regular practice of meditation, mindfulness, studying Buddhist teachings, and following the ethical precepts. They also demonstrate commitment by serving others selflessly, cultivating compassion and wisdom, and striving to achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all beings.
Traditionally, a lay Buddhist shows complete commitment by taking refuge in the Buddha, Dharma, Sangha, and further on by taking the lay precepts. Monks, of course, do it by becoming monks.
Non-traditionally, a Buddhist shows complete commitment by making every effort to put the Buddha's teaching into practice in their lives.
By laying out a disciplined practice schedule can one show their commitment. We can go on pilgrimages to show commitment, but we can also go on pilgrimages because we want to see India. We can haul large stones to the site of a new temple construction to show commitment, but we can also do this because we don't like to say no. The best way to show commitment is to actually commit and search for the perfect teacher, request them to accept you as their student, follow their teaching earnestly and meditate on all the fine points they instruct you on.
The best way to show your commitment as a Buddhist is to be a Buddhist. lol
The most sincere practitioners would try diligently to live their lives as The Buddha taught us to. Also they could also participate ceremony called Taking Refuge in the Three Jewels, which are The Buddha, the Dharma and the Sangha.
Answer:
Like so many things the act of trying to show complete commitment to anything is a demonstration of your lack of both understanding and commitment. Many Zen stories reflect this point - the harder you are trying the less progress you are making. The point of complete commitment is that you follow the path without effort or conscious thought.
If by"Show their beliefs" you mean do Buddhists demonstrate their beliefs by trying to live orderly lives without drunken behaviour, murder, or theft while loving their children, wives and friends. Then the answer is yes, they are as successful at this as any group in these life styles. Jf you mean do Buddhists act like extreme evangelical Christians who scream "Come to Jaysus!" on street corners, walk through the streets dragging crosses while the rest of their friends sing hymns - then rhey don't show their beliefs in any of these or similar manners..
I think it depends on the type of Buddhist. A Nichiren Daishonin Buddhist chants Nam Myoho Renge Kyo and does their best to make good causes at every opportunity.

By practicing the teachings of the Buddha diligently all the time. By meditating and being mindful of our thoughts, words and deeds.
by performing a ritual when they become anadult which they remember so when they perform the ritual they are also promising to show commitment to their religion. Addendum: Ritual is not the only way. Granted, performing a ritual will cement something to the mind, it is not a way of showing commitment. By laying out a disciplined practice schedule can one show their commitment.
