Well greed is part of the film/story of Macbeth. It all starts when Macbeth is planning to kill the king who is called Duncan. Macbeth is wanting to be a king and he kills the king several time in the chest and 1 time in the chest. Macbeth is being greedy because he thinks he is the world and when he gets the crown after killing him he starts being stupid with his self and he puts King Duncan's blood all over the Guards so when the people see the Guards they will think that the Guards killed him instead but everyone realises that Macbeth killed him and everyone becomes angry at him.

I would say that he has the character he has because of the decisions he has made. In particular, his decision to carry through with the murder of Duncan had profound effects on his character thereafter.
