"Hey, let's start a rumble! Fetch me my rapier, boy! All this dancing is boring! Let's have a swordfight instead!"
romeo went to find Tybalt not Tybalt to find romeo after Mercutios death to get revenge
In Act 1. Scene 5 Romeo and his friends have gatecrashed Old Capulet's party (it was an open invitation, so gatecrashers were expected). Tybalt realises that Romeo - a Montague - is present, and wants to start a fight. Old Capulet says: 'Chill, man, it's a party, heyyy'. But Tybalt wants to start a fight anyway. The actor playing Tybalt has to find some way to show us why Tybalt would rather fight Romeo than chill at a party. There are various ways to do this, it depends on the actor.
Capulet's Ball is open to everyone except the Montagues (the family which has a traditional enmity with the Capulets). When Tybalt (a Capulet) realises that Romeo (a Montague) is at the Ball, he wants to start a fight. But Old Capulet (Juliet's father) tells Tybalt that it is a party, and that Romeo seems a nice enough fellow. Tybalt is very angry that he has been prevented from starting a fight. But it isn't so difficult to work out who Romeo is. At the end of the party, when the guests are starting to leave, Juliet asks her nurse to find out who the young man was that Juliet has been talking to. It takes the nurse a few moments to ascertain that it is Romeo - but only a few moments.
Yes; Tybalt saw Romeo at a Capulet party, and believed Romeo was "mocking" the Capulets by being there. But good old Mr. Capulet wouldn't allow Tybalt to confront Romeo at the party, so Tybalt sent him a letter the next day.
In this scene Tybalt seeks Romeo because he is mad at Romeo for being at the party at the Capulet house, and wants revenge. In the play, this is the only reason but in the movie, Tybalt is mad at Romeo because he knows Juliet is falling for him.
Romeo refuses to fight Tybalt when Tybalt challenges him because Romeo is still love stricken after just coming back from his secret wedding to Juliet and is too overjoyed to express anything but love to those that he sees. Not only that, Tybalt is Juliet's kinsmen and I doubt Romeo would want to bring any harm to someone of relation to his only love and now secret wife, Juliet.
We never find out exactly what it says, but we know its gist: Tybalt was calling Romeo out for a fight.
No-one invites romeo to the party. Romeo and Mercutio come across a servant who cannot read and find out that the Capulets are hosting a party and that Rosaline (who Romeo thinks he is in love with) will be there. So they decide to go. Everyone will be wearing masks so no-one will recognise him. Tybalt finds out that they are there but Lord Capulet tells Tybalt not to start a fight since Romeo hasn't caused any trouble.
Well, if Romeo had never let Tybalt find out he was at he party (he was the only one seen by Tybalt), Tybalt would never have challenged Romeo to a fight, and the whole street brawl would never have happened. If Romeo had answered Tybalt's challenge, Mercutio wouldn't have died protecting his honor. If Romeo had so much as asked why Tybalt insulted him like that, Mercutio wouldn't have felt the need to defend his friend's honor. Then there's always not stepping in the damned fight and just let Mercutio get his anger out...So all in all, it's pretty much Romeo's fault Mercutio had died.
Tybalt vows his uncle, Lord Capulet, by expressing his anger and dishonor at Romeo's presence at the Capulet ball and insisting that he wants to challenge him to a duel. He feels that Romeo's intrusion is a personal insult to his family's honor and is determined to seek revenge.
Romeo does not want to fight Tybalt because he has just married Tybalt's cousin Juliet. So this means they are related and Romeo does not want to harm him. Also to start a fight with a Capulet (because Romeo is a Montague) would have Romeo banished. Romeo does not want to be banished or upset his wife, Juliet, by killing her cousin.
