Defective CV joint or bad wheel bearing.
Possibly a bad wheel bearing.
Its Your CV Joint Or Your Wheel Bearing ........... if it is your cv joint you will hear the knocking or clicking sound especially whilst turning corners.xxxx
Could be,A loose fitting hubcap. The front brake pads are worn down to the "squealer". A worn CV joint in an axle (front wheel drive). A front wheel bearing going bad.
first take wheel off, remove brake caliper, brake rotor then 4 bolts behind the front wheel bearing assy. then pull front axle out with wheel bearing attached then change u-joint and reassemble. PS wheel bearing assy can be stubborn so plenty of lubricant is needed to break loose
A roaring sound is usually caused by a worn out wheel bearing.
A wheel bearing could.
If the sound is a popping sound when turning it is a CV axle, If the sound is a squeaking sound it is most likely your upper strut mount, or a wheel bearing.
its coming from the front end from the wheels we thought it was the wheel bearing
This would be a front wheel bearing This comes as an assembly /front wheel bearing hub assembly Get this taken care of ASAP before the bearing fails
Sounds like a wheel bearing going bad. Had similar issue on ford explorer that ended up being front left hub bearing. If it is a front wheel drive vehicle, it could be a CV joint on drive shaft to the side of the noise.
It is most likely your front tires and then that woul mean your wheel bearing.
