A bus is a motor vehicle with usually anything from about 7 to 80 seats - although the longest bus in the world has about 300 seats. It is used to transport many people from one place to another, using just one vehicle - rather than the multiple vehicles should they make their own journeys. Buses usually follow a predetermined route, often multiple times in a day, although some are used to transport passengers longer distances - these are usually coaches, as they are comfier and faster than standard buses.

Pretty much the same way a car does. It has an engine that runs on fuel, and it rolls onwards on four wheels.

Busses being longer than cars, can be more tricky to steer and require a different driving license from a regular vehicle.
