It doesn't.
start by disconneting the fuel filter on the engine side then turn the key if there is no fuel getting through then it is a clogged filter. if tht is not the problem then your screwed. start by disconneting the fuel filter on the engine side then turn the key if there is no fuel getting through then it is a clogged filter. if tht is not the problem then your screwed.
Yes, I clogged fuel filter will prevent fuel from getting to the engine.
Definitely. If the engine isn't getting gas it can't run.
Oil pump
At the very least, every 12,000 miles. If you drive in constant dusty conditions, the interval between changing this filter becomes smaller. A clogged air filter only chokes the engine from getting the proper amount of air for proper combustion. Imaging trying to draw air through a straw that has the other end pinched.
Diesel or Gas? Buy a cheap punch. Sharpen it on the grinding wheel. Get hammer. Get punch. Punch hole in bottom on filter and use a drain pan.. funnel.. whatever.. to guide the oil away from the engine/frame. That'll get most of the oil out of the filter, preventing most of it from getting on the engine. Take off old oil filter. Install new oil filter.
If no engine light is on it could be fuel filter
the air filter (depending on the engine will) two long bolts will go through the air filter and carb and will connect to the intake which should already be attached to the engine. the air filter will sometimes have a case on it though.
if changing the fuel filter, and it still stalls out. you have a problem with the fuel not getting to engine.
In line filters are directional. check that filter was not installed backwards look for arrow on the side of filter. arrow should point towards engine an away from fuel tank
There could be many causes to this problem. A few things that could cause it would be, the fuel is not getting to the engine, meaning a problem with the fuel system (injectors, pump or filter), there is not enough electricity getting through the engine, or an o2 sensor going out.
An air filter cleans the air going into the engine, either through the carberetor or the fuel injenction system. The air filter cleans the air that will be mixed with the fuel to create the combustible gas that powers your engine.
