Chameleons are lizards, a type of reptile. Most lay their eggs and bury them in shallow pits, typically in warm sand.

One African species, however (the three-horned or Jackson's chameleon) is ovoviviparous, meaning that the female retains her eggs, 8 to 30, in yolk sacs within her body. After about 5 months they hatch, and she presses the sticky sacs onto branches. Her offspring will free themselves after she leaves.

first the adult lays an egg , then the egg hatches and out comes the baby chameleon , then the baby chameleon grows up , and after it grows up it mates and then it would die :(

Basically they don't ! Once the babies arrive - they are completely independent - and quickly disperse in search of their first meal.

Chameleons or lizards all grow diffrently it deppends on what kind of Chameleon you are talking about.
