How do crocodiles catch their food?

A crocodile may be able to swallow fish whole. But, for anything larger, the crocodile must grip onto a part of the prey and spin until a piece of flesh is ripped off and then swallowed. This is because the crocodile doesn't have shearing teeth.

They stay submerged in water, invisible to unsuspecting prey. When the land mammals come to water bodies to drink, they ambush the prey and eat them.

Crocodiles eat by drowning their prey first, the they rip and tear chunks and pieces off of their prey.... yum. They cant chew because of their jaws.
