tumbler assembly is replaced as a unit. its held to the door skin by a spring clip that's accessible by removing the inner door panel.

They are called waffer's. The key will still fit in the hole and turn but a nail file or screwdriver can turn it as well with no waffers in it.

Pull out on the tab to remove it, the door lock cylinder should now come out of the door. Reverse the process to reinstall. If you actually want to take off the door latch ask about that.

Open the door and look at the jamb area behind lock cylinder. If you see a slot with a flap of metal coming out that is the lock retainer. You can pull this out completely - takes a bit of effort and lock will come out now. If you can't see retainer in your jamb, you must remove door panel and remove retainer from inside door.

When you open the door there are a couple bolts on the inside of the door jam that holds that entire black plate in place. This is replaced as a unit and does not come apart from the door handle. And if I remember correctly there is also a screw or bolt holding the linkage together that needs to come apart...No big deal! The door handle is all part of this entire assembly and is replaced as such. Do not replace this with a cheap Chinese knock off, as it will fail early if it works at all. Don't learn the hard expensive way..
