∙ 11y agoA modem looks like a black box, on the rear it has many ports, one will usually have a yellow sticker around it, and the rest grey. the router will be connected to this yellow port. and of the left on right will be a port where the power goes (still at the back), and on the other side will be the broadband cable which carries the internet connection from the house to the servers. on the front of the modem, there will be 4-5 lights, 3 will be static and two will flash.
