Different parts of our bodies need different nutrients, which is why our diets need to be varied enough to encompass all the different nutrients the different parts our bodies need.

So a diet that is well balanced (comprised of all the nutrients we need) will help the body's immune system by making it stronger and healthier, thus keeping our body healthier and more resistant to sickness.
