The acronym can refer to two things: Alternating current or Air Conditioning. Alternating Current: This is a type of electrical current that can flow back and forth, randomly changing directions. This type of current is used and generally more efficient in cities. This is because more energy is lost as more energy is moved in power lines. DC (direct current) is used instead over long distances. Air Conditioning: Is a process used to cool air and make it less humid for cooling people. Mainly using fans and cooling coils.
