Therefore, the initial effect of mixing the two may be to increase the effect of Adderall. However, caffeine is also a diuretic and diuretics have the effect of washing Adderall out of your system. Therefore, drinking any significant amount of diet coke will decrease, if not totally eliminate, the effect of Adderall.
