When going down a hill, you will pick up much more speed than if on flat roads. If you don't have brakes, you have very little chance of slowing down if something/someone goes infront of your path. The handlebars of a bike don't really affect the speed of the bike, that is more to do with navigation.
Brakes help a bicycle to stop, of course --- but do you know why? it's because brakes use friction. When you squeeze the brakes, rubber blocks press against the wheels. The friction between the blocks and the wheels slow your bicycle down.
No. Simply changing the gear without doing anything else won't slow a bicycle down. You can coast along without peddling and that will slow you down or you can use the brakes to slow the bike. Changing gears will affect the speed only if the current speed is slower than the highest speed you can reasonably attain with the selected gear - changing to a higher gear will help you speed up.
They have parachutes as well as their regular brakes to help them stop from their immense speed.
At what speed? Where do you feel it, in steering wheel or seat? Any relationship to using the brakes? If you use a tire shop, they can figure it out for sure. More than likely tire balance or a bad tire or tire(s). Tell me more and I can help for sure.
anti lock brakes doesnt help you resuce the risk of injuries
They didn't invent the bicycle but are usually considered to have invented the aeroplane.
Yes, the parking brakes can be used to stop the vehicle in emergency. But remember that, in most of the vehicles parking brakes apply only to one pair of wheels, so if the vehicle is in high speed, one has to apply them carefully and save the vehicle from skidding.
Pretty much just like an outdoor bicycle except you dont get fresh air.
Could you please clarify how you would like to adjust your bicycle seat?
They provide resistance to the engine crankshaft in order to help control speed on a downhill descent. Exhaust brakes and Jake brakes aren't one in the same... an exhaust brake restricts exhaust flow, while a Jake brake opens the exhaust port of the cylinder during the power stroke.
The purpose of a bicycle is to help people get around.
