mountainous, island, empty, densely populated, landlocked, frozen, desert, tropical rain forest, open grassland, temperate forests. these are some of the many types of ecosystems that homo sapeins sapiens have moved into, and thrived in, over the past 40,000 years: today we seem to dominate earth and are on the edge of permanently expanding beyond our own planet as we discover earth like worlds around nearby stars.

to live in these various ecosystems required "the ancients" to change their behavior, these accumulated changes in behavior between differing groups of humans became various "cultures" we know today. each cultural attribute has its roots in an ancient necessity or requirement.

Did climate affect the Aztecs culture?

Yes, climate did have an impact on the Aztec culture. The Aztecs adapted their agricultural practices to the local climate and geography, relying heavily on a system of chinampas, or floating gardens, to grow crops in the marshy areas of the Valley of Mexico. The changing climate could have contributed to periods of drought or flooding, affecting their agricultural production and potentially leading to food scarcity.
