1. Vandalism. A hacker may get into their system and edit or delete their web pages. They may even crash their system or delete the entire site.

2. Data mining and snooping. A hacker may get into their system and download their customer database or download employee emails and distribute them.

3. Revenge. Disgruntled customers might spam them, attempt a DoS (denial of service) attack, slander and cyberbully their employees, and so on.

4. General misuse such as spam and viruses may make it harder for customers to access their site, or make it longer to respond to customers.
