"Functional Foods" is the name given to foods which have some sort of medical/health claim attached to them, for example pro-biotic yogurts (such as Danone, or Yakult) or cholesterol lowering spreads/oils/cereals.

"Normal Foods" could be considered to be all foods except functional foods.
