Essentially, deforestation occurs from two sources: clearing (chopping down) trees and burning (fires). The latter isn't always caused by humans; it could be caused naturally by such as lightning.
The adverse effects of deforestation are too numerous and involved to be listed here. Here are some articles that explain the process and its effects in detail:

Human activity can affect flooding in a couple of ways.
Many civilizations have redirected rivers through the construction of canals and in some cases have brought too much water into areas that could not absorb it. The building of canals has also decreased flooding in areas because it diverts large amounts of water away from a river's flood plane.
Humans have also built dams and blocked rivers which creates artificial lakes and floods large amounts of land behind the damn. Like with canals, the dam also prevents flooding of a river's natural flood plane.

Well one thing is that Global Warming is causing the polar ice caps to melt and will eventually, cause a great flood. Also, since we have longer summers, we are causing more rain and obviously, more floods.
Floods are cause of human activities. Some of the activities are growing population, deforestation and global warming.
humans are making the sea level rise so there is more rain and floods
Driving and using canned sprays that contain aerosol contribute to global warming.
Clearing trees from hills increases the frequency of rainstorms.
use of paper cups, tissue papers
humans use products containing CFCs which accumulate in the atmosphere.
Humans can start planting or cutting tree's in a sensitive certain area which can cause water to easily make soil slide down and cause floods.
I don't know.......my question is... how does erosion contribute to flooding?
Human activities cause deforestation through a variety of means. Land degradation, which leads to deforestation, can occur due to poor farming activities, livestock, vehicle off-roading and pollution - all human activities Clear cutting or logging activities also contribute to the ever increasing rate of deforestation - obviously a human activity Acid rain adversely affects plant growth and hence contributes to deforestation Slash and burn activities to clear forest land for agricultural use or to keep livestock contributes to deforestation and is also a human activity Urban development, whereby trees are cut and forests are cleared to make room to build houses a cause of deforestation - human activity
Fruits and crops can be destroyed by various factors such as pests, diseases, extreme weather conditions like frost, drought, or too much rain, and natural disasters like floods or hurricanes. Human activities like pollution or improper agricultural practices can also contribute to the destruction of fruits and crops.
