∙ 12y agoBeta cells of the islets of langerhans detect an increase in blood glucose levels and so secretes insulin into the bloodstream. Insulin then binds to glycoproteins on the cellsurface membrane of target cells. Insulin distorts the tertiary structure of glucose transport proteins and causes these channels to open, allowing glucose to diffuse into cells. Respiration rates are also increased. Insulin also causes glycogenis, which is the conversion of glucose into glycogen. Glucose is also converted into fat. Beta cells detect a decrease in blood glucose levels and so stops secreting insulin (negative feedback).

First of all people which are diabetic should keep themselves away from all kinds of sweet.
Secondly diabetic people can regulate their diabetes by injecting external insulin by a syringe or by intaking number of tablets available in the shops.
Since diabetes is associated with a number of other problems such as high blood pressure and cessation of smoking.
smoking should be strictly avoided in diabetes because it leads to other serious problems such as cancer and breathing problems.
people having diabetes should keep themselves away from personnel problems as it can cause a high blood pressure and can lead to serious problems such as cardiac arrest etc.

∙ 10y agoInsulin is an enzyme which allows cells to metabolize sugar. Hence, increased insulin in the blood will lower the amount of sugar since the sugar will get used up; too little insulin will result in elevated sugar levels.
