awe-striken
Jurgis is initially impressed by the efficiency and scale of the meatpacking plant, but as he witnesses the harsh and unsanitary working conditions, he becomes disillusioned and disturbed. He is dismayed by the exploitation of the workers and the lack of concern for their well-being.
Marija told Jurgis that she didn't blame him and would help him find a job.
This is how they react to the substances. Sometimes the substances that are inside the plant will react in an unusual way with the substance.
He thinks that the snake will die or that will have magic powers
I have absolutely no clue. Sorry
They dont 'react'. the plant sucks up the food colouring (like water). this happens all of the time to plants, except you cant see it usually. Anyway, the plant sucks up the colouring, and treats it as water :)
the snake would probably be died after or have powers
The plant would never flower, it needs blue light to flower but it would grow normally....
Possibly an ameba, a.k.a. single cell organism.
It's very likely that Iodine will react with plant products, since Iodine reacts with starch. Negative controls (glucose, water, and protein) could be used to verify the result.
Whether or not the plant is exposed to sunlight. Independent variables are manipulated by the experimentor, dependent variables react to the change in the independent variable.
No It is chemical. Because the seeds react with the chemicals in the soil and the water. See the related link below.
Plant cells react in many ways. Because of its rigid structure, the plant cell will not just melt, it will just begin to cave in. For example... ------------------------------- I I I I I __________________I If this is the cell's structure, the top layer will cave in like this... ---\ /------- I \ / I I I I__________ You get my point!!!
