You don't actually have to get in the dash. If it comes with a standard cassette like the Aussie model does then there is a nut holding it in a bracket attached to the dash framework at the back of the stereo. You can see and feel this if you crawl under the dash next to the pedals. You can easily get a spanner in there to undo the nut. Once undone gently push the old system out until it is possible to get a good hold of it from the front then gently slide it out. Took me 5 minutes to do on mine.
I have a 91 Accord and found out ( after removing almost the whole dash ) that there are 2 screws up behind the stereo....Basically laid on the floor with my legs up the seat and head under the dash to find it. Hope this helps :D
Check the driver's side under the dash. There should be a box there with the fuses in it.
Under the dash, behind the stereo. It will be on the right side. Under the dash, behind the stereo. It will be on the right side. Under the dash, behind the stereo. It will be on the right side.
dash light location on a 1999 hound accord V6
under the dash in your fuse panel . it will say radio .
There are ways's to do it but it ALL HAS to be custom, no one currently makes a dash kit for this vehicle.
You must remove the front of the dash. Everything around the stereo. Very time consuming. Just remember where the parts and all the screws go when you go to put it back together. It is not that difficult. Good Luck.
buy the correct wiring harness for the car at a stereo shop along with a dash kit wire colors all match its really easy..
Fuse panel, under dash, drivers side. The panel may be behind a plastic lid.
replacing dash board lights

Purchase a stereo install dash kit, you're best bet is eBay. Search in eBay for a "stereo install dash kit 1990 corolla". Should be about twenty bucks.

Take out centre dash, for starters. Remove old unit. then find on the internet the wiring harness diagram to specify what each wire is then match this up with the wires on your sony stereo. hope this helps
Our corolla's have a double din stereo. first you will have to decide if you want a double din or single din stereo. then you will need a Toyota wiring harness and a single din dash trim or double din dash trim. stereo removal is quite simply
there will be roughly 4 screws on the dash, 2 by the guage window and 2 by the radio/ heat controls. after removing pop out the dash. you will have to lower the steering collum, after the dash is off you have 4 screws holding the stereo in place.
If you're talking about the auxiliary power output (cigarette lighter), in my 2003 accord its in the center console. I believe this is optional so yours may not have it. If you're talking about the auxiliary input for the stereo, there isn't one easily accessible. There is an auxiliary input, but it's on the bottom of the stereo, so to access it you have to disassemble the dash and use a special device. See here for both: http://www.distantcreations.com/accordipod/
you must buy a dash kit, and a wiring kit, available at wal-mart. Follow directions, should be very clear.
The dash lights will not work on a 91 Honda Accord if the fuse or bulbs have blown. Inspecting and replacing the fuse is the first step to repairing this problem.
Check your fuses as this is very common when an after market stereo is installed.
1. from bottom of trim panel around stereo pull from dash. 2. pull panel down to release latches at top. 3. remove 4 screws securing car stereo and pocket to dash. 4. pull car stereo forward, disconect antenna and connectors.
rear seat and dash panel mus be removed to access the bolts sould be a no brainer from there on wiwth the right tools
It happened to my Buick after I put in Stereo. The insulation was off one of the stereo wires causing a short which killed my dash lights. The stereo worked. My dash lights didn't.Check your radio wires and make sure its not grounding out.
its could be a flasher relay. or the turn signal switch in the steering column
