I've SEEN it done with coffee stirrers! One layer directly on top of another! Two stirrers per row. The hair is rolled in straight sections with another section directly on top of it. there are 2 stirrers (one left, one right) on the section of the rod where it starts to dip in. The next layer of rollers is done directly on the top of it. the stirrers separate & support the top layer from the bottom
You could do that but it would make sense to perm your hair, blow dry, and then put your hair in rollers!
AnswerThe perm chemicals will ruin velcro rollers. There are special perm rods that can handle being bathed in the chemicals, and that's what you want to use.Answeryes you can use anything to perm the hair but the hair couldn't be wrapped smoothly with velcro rollers so it might look frizzy plus the tension won't be even and certain hairs that are wrapped too tight might end up breaking
Yes you can go to the salon and get it done. You can talk to your stylist about how you would like it to look and they can use different rollers to achieve that look.
No it wouldn't. You see when you get a perm it chemically changes the inner structure of the hair and that is why it is permanently curly. Using rollers or tongs: they are just a temporary curl and will be gone as soon as you wash your hair whereas a perm won't.

go to the hairdresser By far the most popular winding technique, rollers are placed in a brick pattern rather than straight rows, and this helps to elimate what we sometimes call "tramlines" i.e. false partings created in the hair when using the 9 section technique. A brickwind can be wound in the direction you would like the perm to be.
