On most American trucks, there is a steering wheel lock associated with the ignition key, so hot wiring the vehicle may start the engine, but it won't allow you to steer the vehicle.
You may have to engage the services of a locksmith ... and have the ignition lock replaced by a mechanic. Eventually you are going to need to have keys made anyway.
If the dealership has a key machine, yes.
if i have replace my steeringcolumn with one out of another ford truck and do not have a key for eithe how do i bypass antitheft and start vehicle
There are probably a million reasons why your pathfinder won't start. One that I ran into was a faulty key. Each key is microchipped to work with the computer. Mine wasn't "flashed" properly.. The truck would turn over but not start.
go to the dealership and thay can make u a new one using the vin numbers
Starting your own tow truck company can be fairly inexpensive if you start out slow. You can start with one truck and build on that as you make more money.
Jacob had gotten killed by one of the key survivors i the lost series
got one word for you.. Locksmith
The key fob can only be programmed at the dealer.
It means someone has lost one.
turn ignition on (do not start), slowly press the gas pedal to the floor for one second, release for one second, gas to the floor again, release again, gas to the floor for a 3rd time, release. Turn key off, turn key on, start truck. If you did this right, it will reset the oil life.
no, you have to have the key. The car is paired with one key, and one key alone. If you do not have the key, the car does not have the right code to start.
that all depends on what make of truck you have. some have a bolt that needs to be removed to allow wheel carrier to drop. some have a cable that cranks down ,and ford from at least year 2000, has a key, that fits on end of jack handle that fits into spare tire crank to wind down te wheel. if this key is lost, you will have to purchase a new one ,and hope you have the proper key number to do this. on a used truck i just purchased, the key was missing, but the registration card was still in truck.we did try the tire key from 8 other ford trucks but not one of them matched,so a quick phone call with the number on the card and $22-oo laters, i have the correct key ,for spare tire. without that key, the only wy to g et spare out is to cut the cable.
