How does responsible parenthood affect society?

Our future is in the children and responsible parenting involves teaching the child so he or she can grow up to be responsible adults. This takes consistent caring, a structured environment so the child can feel safe yet know the rules, guided discovery of the world, to give enough space so the child learns it is OK to fail and that no one wins all the time. Parents are a child's first teacher and they set the child for the learning to take place. The first 4 years are the most important in a child's life. Their brains are collecting information and personality is developing. The developing brain has millions of brain cells that are working as you read to them, speak to them, interact with them, and help them. Without responsible parenting children rear themselves and do not learn the things needed to become responsible adults. If you do not think this is true, then, look to the, prisons and gangs in our society. They are filled with people whose parents may not have parented as they grew up. This is very sad.
