In the last book his Solara is destroyed making him look old and tired and he and pendragon fight when they both cant fight anymore bobby takes him outside and uncle press leads them to a tower were they see all the dadoes disabled which were disabled by ravina that breaks Saint Dane with no more followers and he dies in my mind it was he was fading on and off then faded and died.
