Scar tissue is formed when the depth of injury penetrates the dermis.
Scar tissue occurs in 4 phases:
1.Inflammatory phase.
In this phase, blood clot forms around the edges of the injury.
Blood vessels dilate, macrophages migrate to the site of injury to clean up dead cells or other unwanted organism.
the macrophages activate fibroblast response.
2.Migratory phase
In this phase, scab ,a hard coating on the skin formed during the wound healing,is formed.
Epithelial tissue migrate beneath the scab to bridge the wound.
Fibroblasts proliferate in the deeper part of the wound
These fibroblasts begin to synthesize small amounts of collagen which acts as a scaffold for migration and further fibroblast proliferation.
Blood vessels begin to grow.
Granulation tissue refers all the tissue involved in filling the wound.
3.The proliferative phase
-Growth of the epithelial tissue closing the wound
-continued growth of blood vessels.
-Collagen fibers are laid randomly
4.Maturation phase
-The scab sloughs off from the epidermis
-collagen fibers become more organized
-fibroblasts decrease in number
-blood vessels restored to normal
Partial thickness burns, or Second Degree burns damage the dermis of the skin (vs. the epidermis) and can leave scar tissue behind due to the vascular state of dermis.

Scar tissue can form for a number of reasons, not healing properly, infection, improper surgery
As long as there is jewellery in the piercing the piercing will not scar, it will form new tissue that makes up the piercing. If the jewellery is removed before the piercing is allowed to heal completely this tissue will join together and form scar tissue.
Mederma Scar Cream has many benefits. Some benefits include reduction of scar tissue, erasing stretch marks, and reducing the scarring from minor burns.
Scar tissue is formed under the scab.
Probably scar tissue. Once its healed over, you can use mederma or BioOil to help make the scar tissue less noticeable.

Scar tissue is the fibrous connective tissue which forms a scar; it can be found on any tissue on the body, including skin and internal organs, where an injury, cut, surgery or disease has taken place, and then healed. Thicker than the surrounding tissue, scar tissue is paler and denser because it has a limited blood supply; although it takes the place of damaged or destroyed tissue, it is limited in function, including movement, circulation, and sensation. Other than with minor cuts and scrapes, scarring is a common result of any bodily damage. Scar tissue in the skin is inferior to healthy, normal skin for several reasons: sweat glands are damaged or destroyed, hair does not grow back, and there is less resistance to ultraviolet radiation
