The production of steel benefits the World in great ways. First, the standard of living goes higher as there exist new jobs in banking, iron ore and manganese mining, construction, office jobs, transport jobs such as shipping of the parts and the iron ore from other parts of the world to the job site, insurance jobs and just about every kind of job imagined created because of steel production. There really are no side effects of steel production in the US as the new steel plants leave almost zero pollutants from the new form of processing plants unlike in the earlier cultures.
