Get yourself a ratchet with a 1/2" head on it. There is a pully just below the alternator. It's on the end of an arm and has a squar hole in it. Place the ratchet head in the arm and push to the right the arm should move down and relies the pressure on the belt.
Go to Mitchell on demand.
replace motor under the seat
I have a 95 thunderbird and there is one small tension pulley located closer to the passenger side of the pulley assembly. You have to go under the car and push that pulley up. Doing that will release the tension of the belt and you can pull it off. Make sure you have the diagram under your hood so you remember which way it goes back on. I replaced my belt with a Gator brand, a little more money, maybe 45 bucks but a very very good belt.
You can find a serpentine belt diagram for a 1987 Ford Thunderbird if you click here. Everything turns the same way but the water pump and the idler which use the outside of the belt.
Go to the local auto parts. Ask about the 1994 1993 and 1992 ac belts, make sure that they are the same. If they are the same then ask for 1992 or 1993 belt for the non ac motor. This is the belt that you need.
No it can go to 48 but not 46.
How do you replace the trunk drain hoses on a 1965 thunderbird.
It is on the fan shroud or in the owners manual. If it is not there, go to a used car lot where there is a like car and draw your own schematic.
Go to google.com and click on images the type in what you would like such as Haida thunderbird.
u go to a garage an ask them how its dun
Best bet is to go to parts house and see if they can pull up a diagram of the serpentine belt pathway. Possibly NAPA parts may have this.
How many times does 46 going to 180
Not fast enough
Hollywood a Go Go - 1964 1-46 was released on: USA: 30 October 1965
Yes, go to a parts store and ask for a belt for a 1994 Chevy truck without A/C.
go to the Sonic Drive Inn
Tyler Ramsey goes by Thunderbird.
I am working on this. It is not a good idea. If the belt broke, I was told the valves may have hit the pistons. If you are looking to replace a worn belt, go get it done at an auto shop. The belt needs a special tool, and adjustment. It takes 2 hours to replace the belt, and you need a wheel puller.
15.30 times 46 goes into 704 15.30 times
what size fuses go where in a ford 1995 thunderbird LX v8 power distribution box, can anyone help me please? what size fuses go where in a ford 1995 thunderbird LX v8 power distribution box, can anyone help me please?
No it doesn't have an interference motor. This means if the timng belt breaks the valves won't go through the pistons.
The easiest way would be to go to an auto salvage and buy the piece you need.
Timing belt replacement is a pretty big job. I'd go to the parts store and pick up a Chilton or Haynes manual.
A lot. We had ours go in 1996 model. All valves bent, about £1000 of work. Even though the belt had been changed at the correct intervals, the belt tensioner had seized so the belt had been flapping about until it broke.
You must first take off the serpentine belt, this is very easy if you have a belt remover from autozone...20$ The small pulley on the bottom left can be pulled up with the belt remover and the tension will be released. Then there are two bolts on the alternator that you must remove and then pull off the alternator...you can see pictures on autozone's website...go to repairs and type in alternator repair
