The Bible also said that others stoned women who looked at other men or betrayed her husband. However, I believe God doesn't expect any woman to stay in a physically/mentally abusive relationship. If children are involved it is actually up to both parents to protect them with everything they have (a sin against God if you don't) so, that leaves a wide berth as to when one should leave their wife or husband. I am a Christian, my first husband was an abusive man and I remarried several years later and believe me, I did a lot of soul searching. I must have done something right because I have been married to my second husband for 34 wonderful years.
What the Bible says about Divorce Deuteronomy 22:13 If any man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her....
Deuteronomy 24:1-2 When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife.
Is divorce ever permissible?Divorce is never permissible. Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery. -- Mark 10:11Whosoever putteth away his wife and marrieth another, committeth adultery. -- Luke 16:18
Only when the wife is unfaithful

When the 'unbelieving' partner chooses to leave
But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases. -- 1 Corinthinians 7:15
When the husband is displeased with his wife
When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. It is certainly possible, but it is not just his choice, there have to be appropriate measures in place to provide support for the child, now legally his.
Your filing status is determined by the last day of the tax year. If you're not divorced under a final decree by the last day of the year, then you're considered still married. Your choice is either be Married Filing Jointly or be Married Filing Separately. Married Filing Separately generally has a higher tax rate than Married Filing Jointly. If you have any dependents, you might be able to file as Head of Household. For more information, go to www.irs.gov/formspubs for Publication 501 (Exemptions, Standard Deduction, and Filing Information).

Yes, if you earned any income in the USA. You must either file married filing joint or married filing separtely. Since you are legally married these are your only choice with the IRS tax code. Unless you are separated for the last 6 months of the year and plan not to reconcile. Then you may file Head of household if you have a minor dependent living with you for at least 6 months.
There is no evidence that Shepard Smith intends to marry. It is reported that he is supposedly gay, but he has not publicly announced that himself, which is entirely his choice and his right. He does not seem to have any plans to marry anyone at this time.
Unless your husband is in reality your ex-husband under a decree of divorce or separate maintenance, he is not allowed to "file single." (Filing single is not the same thing as "married filing separately.") If you are married, the only filing statuses you may use are: 1) Married filing jointly 2) Married filing separately 3) Head of Household under rare circumstances where your spouse did not live with you at all during the last six months of the year, is not reasonably expected to return, and you maintain a household for a qualifying dependent child. If your husband has already filed, properly or improperly, your only choice is Married Filing Separately (or Head of Household if you qualify). Your husband can't file two returns. If your husband comes to his senses later, you can amend your returns and file a joint return.
You have a choice of jurisdictions - where you live, where you were married, country of citizenship. First one to file gets to choose.
