There is a brake fluid sensor located in the reservoir at the master cylinder. When the brake fluid is low it will turn the light on.
If your brake fluid is also running low, you probably have a help in your cruise control brake pressure sensor. The brake fluid shorts out the sensor and eventually you'll blow the fuse for the abs, AC, and spedometer/odemeter. Replace the brake pressure sensor. Its under the master cylinder resevour. Remove the air filter first and there lots of room to work. This is a relatively easy fix, the part is about $35.
it don't work?
any brake fluid that has a DOT 3 rating will work
Don't know if it needs brake fluid only way to know is to check you master cylinder brake fluid reservoir.
Very serious. Without fluid, the brakes will not work.
check the fuse then the bulbs then the brake switch
A brake fluid leak in the system would do that. Check the brake fluid reservoir. If it is empty you are in need of brake work asap!
if parking brake is on, the headlights when first started, will not work until brake is released.
brake light switch is above the brake pedal under the dash
do your brake lights work wen pressing brake . if not its the brake pedal sensor
You may be low on brake fluid. If you are low on brake fluid you may be ready for some brake work or you have a leak somewhere in the system, have it checked soon!
Brake fluid should work fine
